Gone

Moments
Ticking away
The closing seconds
Diminishing quickly

20 seconds

Reflecting on relationships
Love and Happiness
Never knowing the joy
They contain

No tears

Reflecting on losses
Loved ones departed
Never to see them again
In this life

No goodbyes

Reflecting on broken trusts
Loyalties lay to waste
Never knowing the value
True friendship holds

No remorse

10 seconds

Mistakes examined
Lessons locked away
Memories
Sealed forever

Done

The last sunset
Casts a final shadow
Breezes flowing
Above the earth

Sands of time
Emptying
Into the wind
Dissipating
Into an oblivion

All that existed
Never again revisited

Gone

  3. yep. eternally and irrevocably gone.

which is why some people want time machines.

but i do wish to go back…specially at the days when everything’s just too uncmfortable.

  4. You’re right, there should be “no tears, no goodbyes, no remorse”. I love this and how it was a poem and a countdown at the same time. While reading it though, I almost wanted to run after “all that existed, never again revisited” but realized they were, indeed, done and gone. This is really, really good! :)

  5. I love it! short lines that equal deep thought! the oblivian is only the beginning though… thanx for your comment on my poem!
