Frosted glass intimidates the window pane; a young couple barely feels warmth. Memories stained along the walls; he reflects on moments when they seemed to get along, when she was eager to be near him. Lately, she seemed reclusive and after further considerations, he was convinced that physical intimacy will please her, that a flow of possessions will appease her need for attention.
His attempt to reconcile the love only sullied the mood further. Her face is quickly veiled by the evening; her sentiments now a mystery. She starts asking him questions; not questions about his day nor the things he liked to do, just questions about his thoughts, his feelings about her and their relationship, the things he seldom said and rarely shared.
He became confused and agitated, wondering why she was probing? Was she fishing for drama by uncovering secrets? Eventually anger clouded his judgment, preventing him from seeing that she wants to bear all for him if he will just “bare” himself to her.
